Sark’s annual Sheep Racing has a new logo and mascot – and now it needs a name!
Organisers of the iconic Sark Sheep Racing and Carnival posted the fluffy fellow on social media earlier this week.
The wooly watercolour sheep was destined for “big fame”, but had “no name (yet)”.
Members of the public are invited to suggest names via the Facebook page.
Suggestions so far include Márgerite, the Sercquaise name for white daisy, ‘Baaaaaarbara’ and – of course – ‘Sheepy McSheep Face’.
Organisers are also asking for volunteers for the event, which takes place on 17 and 18 July.
