Off-duty firefighters will once again be collecting used Christmas trees across the island to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The annual fundraiser is being organised by the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service, with volunteers giving up their own time to help islanders dispose of their trees after the festive period.

Collections will be taking place until 9 January 2026, with firefighters using their own vehicles while off duty. All money raised will go directly to the Fire Fighters Charity.

The Service said last year’s collection was its most successful yet and is hoping to make this year’s appeal even bigger with public support.
