Every weekend, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops and more to help Islanders get their weekly dose of culture.
Here’s this week’s offering…
Music at Millbrook
The well-loved annual outdoor summer music festival in Millbrook Park is back by popular demand.
Islanders are invited to come down to the park and enjoy a line-up of music covering most genres. From rock to soul, to party and even West End tunes, there will be something for everyone.
The outdoor concerts are organised by the Jersey Arts Centre in partnership with Music Managed.
Audiences are welcome to picnic and bring chairs and blankets. There is limited seating provided.
The concerts start this weekend, with performances starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm. Performances are taking place from 7 August to 11 August.

Fund Raising Event at St Matthew’s Church
The first fundraising event for the Hope Centre will be taking place this Saturday 8 August.
The clothing and re-gifting sale, with many cakes and refreshments, will be taking place at St Matthew’s Church Hall.
All the money raised from the event will be donated to Hope Community Centre.
Islanders are encouraged to pop in between 10am and 2pm.
Reg’s pop-up fairy garden
Reg’s Garden is a family favourite, which has recently undergone a mini-makeover.
The fairy garden has been refreshed and Islanders are being invited to head along to enjoy the magical display.
Created by Reg Langlois, the garden spans 1.5 acres and features an abundance of plants and a large pond with many ducks.
There is wheelchair accessibility and it’s perfect for a weekend stroll.
The garden is free entry and frequently hosts pop-up shops for charities and local crafters. You can find more at Reg’s Garden Facebook page.
Ha ha ha… The Last Laugh
Comedy fans are being invited to enjoy an evening of laughs directly from London’s West End.
‘The Last Laugh’ imagines three of Britain’s all-time greatest comedy heroes – Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe, and Bob Monkhouse – in a dressing room, discussing the secret of life, death, comedy, and what it means to be funny.
The play is by award-winning playwright Paul Hendy, starring Damian Williams, Simon Cartwright, and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Steve Royle.
