Express has partnered with the Jersey Hospitality Association for the ’12 Cocktails of Christmas’ series, which will showcase festive drinks from bar staff across the island, giving readers the chance to try their favourite seasonal recipes at home.

The cocktail…

Created by Lal, master mixologist at The Porter’s Store, ‘Dear Santa’ promises to keep the holiday spirit alive long after the Christmas dinner table is cleared.

The bar team said: “We love a festive cocktail down in the Store, especially one that doubles up as dessert.

“Our Master Mixologist, Lal was the brains behind this festive-fuelled creation.

“Residing from India, Lal loves nothing more than exploring flavours from near and far, taking inspiration from nature and treating every cocktail as a canvas for his own unique style.

“That’s why we call him the ‘Flavour Wizard’. This year’s brief was to capture Christmas in a glass, designed for ‘afters’ but encouraged anytime. After all, it is the season of indulgence.

With its rich, creamy, and sweet notes, Dear Santa will make you feel like you’re on the Nice List – even if it’s a little too late for that letter to the North Pole this year…
