A 20-year-old woman was arrested in Guernsey on suspicion of attempted murder this weekend.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Victoria Avenue area, according to Guernsey Police.
Detective Superintendent Jonathan Bancroft said one person was “urgently transferred to hospital” on Sunday, where they remain in a “serious but stable condition”.
Crime scene investigators have been carrying out forensic work at a property in the Victoria Avenue area, where there has been an increase in police presence.
DS Bancroft added: “Incidents of this nature are thankfully very rare occurrences in Guernsey, and I’d like to take this opportunity to reassure islanders that we are not currently searching for any further suspects. There is no information at present that suggests any wider risk.”
Enquiries remain ongoing, and police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
