A man needed hospital treatment for a head injury after allegedly being punched in town on Saturday night.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place outside St Saviour’s Court in Ann Street just after midnight on Saturday 19 September.
A 28-year-old man sustained a laceration to his head which required hospital treatment, according to the force. He was later discharged.
The suspect is described as a white British man with brown hair, approximately 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, who was wearing dark clothing.
He was last seen walking along Ann Street in the direction of Bacchus Bar following the incident.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or may have CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile-phone footage from Ann Street, La Motte Street or the surrounding area.
