Police are investigating the death of a motorist in St Clement yesterday morning.
A 500-metre section of Grande Route de La Cote between Petite Sente and Rue De La Lourderie was closed for several hours after an incident in which a car hit a wall.
The States of Jersey Police confirmed that the male driver was later pronounced dead.
The passenger in the car – the driver’s wife – received only minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved, according to the force.
A police spokesperson added: “We are working to support the family of those involved, and the investigation into what happened is ongoing.”
