A neurodivergent teacher preparing to tackle seven marathon-length runs in seven days – in a charitable endeavour he hopes will inspire other neurodiverse young people – is closing in on his fundraising target and has released a promotional video in an effort to boost donations.
James Hadley-Piggin will be taking on runs in England, Wales, Guernsey, Sark, and Jersey between 18 and 24 August.
James, who is an English teacher at De La Salle College and has dyspraxia – a developmental co-ordination disorder – is fundraising for AllMatters Neurodiverse, which aims to promote understanding and awareness of neurodiversity in the island.

His online fundraiser has so far raised over £1,300 of its £2,000 target, but James is hoping to reach £1,500 before the end of this month.
“The training is tough and often, it’s more about training your mind to get up and go day after day,” he told Express.
“However, I will always keep the end goal of making a difference in mind whenever things get tough.”
