Guernsey’s new home of football, Victoria Park will welcome people through the turnstiles for the first time this weekend.

On Saturday, Guernsey FC face Westfield at 2pm as they fight to remain in the Isthmian South Central.

They are currently six points from safety with only seven games to play and will be hoping the new ground and a bumper crowd brings them a change of fortune.

The gates open at 12:15 with live music from then until 13:30 from members of the School of Popular Music.

GFC kick off at 14:00.

Half time will see an Aztech youth match.

There is more entertainment from SOPM post match and the bar will be open at Nutmeg.

Standing tickets are available to buy through guernseyfc.com.

Victoria Avenue will be closed to public traffic from 11:00 to 16:30, with access permitted only for Blue Badge holders.

There are more than 100 bike spaces available at the ground, with parking available at Salarie Corner.
