An upcoming horror film inspired by a Shakespeare play has announced its cast, ahead of filming later this year.
‘The Errors of the Dead’ is written and directed by award-winning local 17-year-old Billy Le Page and is loosely based on the Bard’s classic mistaken-identity farce ‘The Comedy of Errors’.
The films tells a chilling story set inside the shadow-drenched walls of Blackthorn Manor, where “forgotten memories, haunted reflections, and deadly secrets” blur the line between the living and the dead.
Mr Le Page said that he can’t wait for Shakespeare fans to see how similar his new film is to the play.
Rosie Jump and Eve Le Sauvage will star as sisters Ophelia and Cornelius, with Andy McCutcheon playing Dr Percival Pinchworth.
They’ll be joined by a host of other local actors, including Beth Leale (Cornelius), Jake Elliott (Octavius), and Miriam Dinis (Cassandra).
Other roles will be played by Meg Saunders, Heidi Belshaw, Christiana Joseph, Scott Michel, Rod Tostevin, Dave Baker, and Dylan Patterson.
Like Mr Le Page’s first film ‘Dead Air: Part 1’, which was also a horror, ‘The Errors of the Dead’ will be filmed in Guernsey, with an online release expected in September.
The production company, Facade Films & Shows, will also be looking for extras.
