The North Show returns this Wednesday 26 August, bringing an action packed schedule of spectacle and delight.
The beloved two-day show at Saumarez Park brings together agriculture, horticulture, entertainment, community groups, exhibitors, local food, family activities and the Battle of Flowers.
The fairground will return this year – bringing seven rides for trill-seeking islanders.
Families will find free bouncy castles and chalk boards to entertain the little ones.
Punters will find the North Show’s usual array of baking, cooking and craft competitions.
Growers will show off their produce, hoping to win best in category and visitors can bid on the prize-winning fruit and veg hoping to take it home.
More than 60 trade, charity and food stalls will provide plenty of diversion for visitors.
Alongside this, there is a huge variety of live entertainment taking place across the Main Arena, Showground and Main Stage.
Everything from BMXs and quad bikes performing flips and tricks to the Guernsey Majorettes’ baton twirling and elite cheerleading will take place across the two days.
A robot named Titan – famous the world over – brings his “wisecracking antics” to the show ground.
There will be live music from bands playing crowd-pleasers to get the whole family on their feet.
In the La Fleur Beer Tent visitors can listen to relaxing tunes from the Acoustic Stage while fancying their chances with a flutter on the Crown & Anchor table.
Thursday will see the Battle of Flowers parade and a public viewing afterwards. The floats will roll again in a moonlight parade, which will be followed by the Grand Fireworks Display.
Tickets are on sale now for £10 through the North Show’s website.
However, discounted tickets can be bought from Stan Brouard Limited, Saumarez Park Tea Room, RH Gaudion & Sons Ltd and Earlswood Garden Centre.
Teens and OAPs can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of £7, while children accompanied by adults go free.
