1. Calling all Kirstys

An 11-year-old girl with brain cancer is appealing directly to people called ‘Kirsty’ or ‘Kirstie’ in the Channel Islands to help grow a unique global fundraising campaign.

Just five had come forward in Guernsey before we put out an appeal earlier this week.

2. The MyGov disaster

We knew it was coming, and it wasn’t going to be pretty, but the extent of the MyGov wastage has now been laid bare.

3. Here we go, Heathrow

The first flights between Guernsey and Heathrow in more than six years took off last Sunday.

The Bailiwick’s dining boom continues to create a buzz as two more local eateries have been added to the world famous Michelin Guide.

5. Record runners

Both the men’s and women’s course records were broken in this year’s Sure Guernsey Marathon.

Last Sunday’s event also saw a record turnout across the marathon, Mourant Relay, and marathon mile.

Love is in the air…

A family from Alderney has won a year of free inter-island travel as part of an Aurigny competition hosted by All Island Media.

Love is in the Air competition winner Stefan will now be able to visit his best friend, who recently moved to Guernsey, after securing 31% of the public vote.
