Hundreds of paws and pounding feet took to the Railway Walk this weekend as the JSPCA launched its first-ever ‘Bark Run’.
The charity event saw around 150 participants set off from Les Quennevais Sports Centre along the Railway Walk, raising more than £5,000 for local animals in need.
The event, sponsored by Focused IT, was the charity’s first major fundraising effort of the year.
The JSPCA’s new president, Lisa Springate, hailed the event as a “great success”, adding that the team hopes to bring it back next year “even bigger and better”.
