Filming for a third series of the new Bergerac is under way, UKTV has revealed – but who will be appearing in the latest instalment of the revamped detective drama?

Who is returning?
Damien Molony will be continuing his portrayal of Jim Bergerac, while Zoë Wanamaker and Robert Gilbert are also set to return in their respective roles as Charlie Hungerford and Barney Crozier, alongside Sasha Behar as Uma Dalal, Celine Arden as Kara Molloy and Luke Nunn as Simon Calvert.
Who is new?
Additionally, Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Black Mirror) will be joining the cast as Alistair, while Tessa Peake Jones (Grantchester, Only Fools and Horses) will play Carol, Lee Ingleby (The Serpent Queen, The Long Shadow) joins as Dominic and Georgia Tennant (Staged, The Horne Section TV Show) as Laura.
Who else will cameo?
Other guest stars include Sean Gilder (Slow Horses, Sherwood) as Les, Alexander Cobb (Grace, Towards Zero) as Jake, Sule Rimi (Day of the Jackal, Andor) as Jonathan, Matti Houghton (Believe Me, Grace) as Catherine, Liam Garrigan (Transformers, Belgravia) as Patrick, Elen Rhys (The One That Got Away, The Mallorca Files) as Esme, and Sebastian Armesto (Gangs of London, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Edward.
Offering a contemporary reimagining of the popular 80s detective drama created by Robert Banks Stewart, the new show’s debut season drew 2.4 million viewers across U and U&DRAMA in 2025.
1.3m viewers for second series
The second series has so far been watched by an average of 1.3m viewers across its six-episode run since it launched in April this year.

“The next chapter raises the stakes even further, with a gripping mystery that will keep audiences guessing until the very end.”
Visit Jersey chief executive Tricia Warwick said Bergerac had driven “a real, measurable shift in visitor consideration” for Jersey, contending that a third series “only strengthens that trajectory”.
She added: “Last year, one in four visitors to the island had watched series one, and our latest research (YouGov) shows that Bergerac viewers are three times more likely to consider visiting in the future.
“We are thrilled to welcome the production team back for series three, showcasing even more of Jersey to new and longtime Bergerac fans.”
