Guernsey FC are starting their new season on the Fifth Step of English Football, in the Southern Combination Premier Division, with a home match against Wick today.

The match against Wick marks Guernsey FC’s debut in the Southern Combination Premier Division, following their relegation from the Isthmian League last season.

Wick is a new opponent for the Green Lions, they were promoted last season and finished 14th in the Southern Combination Premier Division.

Wick is also out of the FA Cup after losing their recent match, losing 2 – 3 to VCD Athletic.

In team news, Guernsey FC say they are without Matt Loaring who’s injured, but both Ross Allen and Jamie Dodd, who had played for the club during it’s last spell at this level, may feature.

Tom Vaudin is set to make his 100th appearance, while Jacques Cauvin and Niall Hainsworth are unavailable due to injury.

The game kicks off at 14.00 on Saturday. There’s also a live commentary available on the club’s YouTube channel.

After this time, Victoria Avenue will be closed to traffic, with access only for Blue Badge and permit holders.
