Apple has announced it is discontinuing the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle.
The company’s decision to stop selling the two music players – which came out back in 2005 as less expensive and small alternatives to the standard iPod – reflects the rise in people storing or streaming their tunes on smartphones.
While Apple plans to continue selling its internet-connected iPod Touch, many Twitter users aren’t processing the news about the Nano and Shuffle well…
Apple has long predicted iPods would gradually fade away as more people bought iPhones or other smartphones capable of playing music.
Stay strong, everyone.
