Snoring remains one of the biggest disruptors of sleep, however a new wearable believes it can change that.

The Anti-Snore Wearable has just gone live on Kickstarter, and uses a small vibrating armband and an app on your smartphone to give a digital nudge – in the form of vibrations – to get wearers to roll over when they snore.

The connected app uses a smartphone’s microphone to pick up when a user snores, and once triggered sends an alert to the small vibration engine in the arm piece.

The gentle nudge is designed to mimic the tap you might get from a partner at night telling you to roll over.

Maker Sleep.ai says on their Kickstarter page: “Snoring can be a huge problem for you and your partner. A good night’s rest is important to make you feel more energetic and productive during the day. We, at Sleep.ai, found existing snoring devices to be cumbersome, uncomfortable and too intrusive.

“We developed a new and innovative solution: The Anti-Snore Wearable. Our wearable is linked to the free Do I Snore smartphone application. This campaign is our first move towards the market, and we would like you to be part of our journey.”

The company also says the system is designed to help train users to stop sleeping on their backs, so that ultimately snoring and the need to wear the armband, evaporates.
