Apple is on your desk, playing in your headphones, in your pocket, on your wrist and soon they’ll be on your driveway too. Development is being kept thoroughly on the DL right now, but according to leading Apple financial analyst Gene Munster we can expect the Apple Car in the not-too-distant future.
Munster discussed the possibility of the the Apple Car with website AppleCarFans.com.
He said: “There will be a car that you can see and order in 2019-2020.
“We don’t think it will probably be delivered until after that …maybe 2021.”
He added that “an advantage of showing it early” will be “to hold up the market in anticipation.”
Munster predicts Apple won’t build the car itself and will “80% outsource it,” but “from our perspective it would be a similar model that in they are involved in the quality of the product”.
So how much will one of these undoubtedly snazzy vehicles set us back? Quite a few bob, as it happens…
“If you look at the overall automotive industry Apple historically plays toward the high-end.” He estimates the sale price in 2020 or 2021 will be “around $75,000”.
