Following the announcement on Monday that orders for the new iPad Pro would begin on Wednesday, it’s not surprising that the first TV advert for the new tablet has swiftly followed.
The 30-second clip focuses on the 12.9-inch display, which has more than 5.6 million pixels – the most Apple has ever put in an iOS device.
There are also early looks at the multi-tasking split-screen feature which comes as part of iOS 9, as well as the brand new £79 Apple Pencil.
Fun fact: when you use the split-screen feature in landscape mode on the Pro, the two halves are both the equivalent of a single traditional iPad screen in portrait orientation.
Given that this is Apple’s biggest and most powerful tablet to date, the price tag reflects it, with the iPad Pro starting at £679 for a 32GB model.
Online orders for the iPad Pro begin on Wednesday, with units set to arrive in store later in the week.
