An image has appeared online that is said to be the first look at a new Google Nexus 5 smartphone – being manufactured by LG.
Though the Nexus 5 stopped shipping earlier this year, there have been rumours of a return ever since, with talk in May suggesting LG and Huawei were working with Google on 5.7in and 5.2in Nexus phones.
This latest image, which was posted to Twitter but also made an appearance in the Nexus Indonesia Google+ community, appears to not only show an LG logo (on the white sticker to the left), but also what could be a fingerprint scanner below the camera lens.
Also on the Nexus leak front is a video that supposedly shows Huawei’s Nexus 6. The video is said to is based on detailed blueprints for the device that were sent out to third-party accessory manufacturers ahead of the phone’s announcement.
If you’re thinking “that looks like an iPhone”, you’re not the only one.
Though one notable point from the video is that the renders appear to show this Nexus 6 to have a USB-C connection, the new universal charging and data transfer connection that is gradually making its way into new products, having been unveiled on the new MacBook back in March. It has since made it into the new OnePlus 2.
