Fallout 4 won best game at the 2016 Bafta Game Awards, but indie titles Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture and Her Story stole the show as each pick up three awards.

The fourth instalment in the Fallout franchise beat off competition from the likes of Metal Gear Solid V to claim the top award of the night, after its critically acclaimed release at the end of last year was met with a flurry of fan excitement.

Engineer John Carmack, the man who help create the 3D first-person shooter genre with his work on the original Doom and Wolfenstein 3D, was honoured with the Bafta Fellowship.
