Black Friday is here, and the relentless deals have begun.
Working your way through the craziness and finding something that actually appeals to you can be difficult
Here are some of the highlights we’ve spotted
This is something Apple wheels out roughly once a year, at different times. It’s a big deal because it can suddenly make very expensive products – MacBooks etc – seem a lot more accessible. For example you can get a £900 iMac for £74 a month over a year, with no interest to pay on top. A much more doable way of upgrading your tech without having to find the money in one go.
This is a great deal. One of the biggest games of this year – and arguably one of the best to grace the current generation of consoles for less than £40. It’s also worth bearing in mind that Fallout has been out less than a month, so you’re hardly playing catch-up on your mates in terms of hours spent wandering the Fallout wastelands.
Improving on a previous price drop from Apple which saw the original mini go under £200, it’s now possible to get a premium tablet for less than £180. While this is only a 16GB model so won’t give you huge amounts of storage, as a device it remains one of the best around.
This is a frankly ludicrous deal – a 4K TV of more than reasonable size for less than £200. Given that 4K is pretty much at the bleeding edge of television technology right now, with no almost channels broadcasting in it yet, this is not only a great buy now, but it’s one that would be futureproof for a few years to come too.
The main reason for including this one is the size of the saving – £301 – on the regular price. The bonus is that this saving comes on a TV from a big name brand, on a product that is very hot right now. Also, you get six months of Netflix as part of the deal.
Not only is this a game that came out this year, but The Witcher has been widely acclaimed as the game of the year by many – including at several awards ceremonies. The game is a huge open world experience and looks great, and it should be noted that Tesco is offering this price for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, so everyone’s happy.
