A big part of the annual Call of Duty cycle is the downloadable content (DLC) that freshens up the year’s game every so often.
The current generation Call of Duty – Black Ops 3 – now has its third DLC, and it’s a stand-out piece of DLC for several reasons. The first of which is the four impressive maps it has to offer, including a re-imagining of the Raid map from Black Ops 2.
But not only that, there’s a new zombie experience – it wouldn’t be Call of Duty without zombies of some sort – though this one has a twist. There’s also dragons.
This has been treated with a mixed reaction by players.
The next full instalment in the series – Infinite Warfare – out in November, as is a remastered version of Modern Warfare, the 2007 release that kickstarted the game’s rise to the top of the gaming charts.
