Smartphones can do almost anything these days – they’re our gaming devices, payment cards, travel cards, boarding passes, reading tool and so on.
But a group of researchers at Queen’s University take a little bit of an issue with that last one, and as such have come up with a stunning redesign of the smartphone that makes it a better reading tool, among many things.
As the video shows, ReFlex works as a gaming tool, as well as a normal phone too, taking advantage of increasingly prominent technology. LG showed off a ‘roll-up’ TV at tech show CES in January.
As well as the flexibility, ReFlex has haptic feeback built in to make it feel more like holding a book. That’s the little vibrations you feel when interacting with a device, by the way.
