Footage has emerged online that appears to suggest the next GoPro action camera will have a touchscreen interface not previously seen on the mini-cams.
According to Mashable, GoPro user Konrad Iturbe spotted the footage – which it’s claimed could be early concept footage for a new interface on what might be the firm’s next camera – had appeared within the Android version of the GoPro app.
The footage, which was posted to Vimeo and Reddit, shows three screens of the interface, with each new page reached by tapping an option on the screen. GoPro is expected to reveal a new version of its action camera – most likely the Hero 5 – which it’s claimed will be released in time for Christmas this year.
As well as this latest alleged leak, Iturbe was also the GoPro fan who discovered and then posted an image online last month claiming to be of GoPro’s first drone, known as Karma.
It followed on from a video GoPro itself posted in late 2015, which confirmed it was planning to release a quadcopter in 2016. However, there’s no sign of it yet.
The firm is also yet to comment on the authenticity of this latest rumour.
