Pizza – the sweet-giver of life when you’re hung over, or can’t be bothered to walk to the shops on a cold Tuesday night to get something for dinner.
Now it has reached new levels of power and accessibility thanks to Dominos, and a new Bluetooth ordering system means pizza with one press of a button.
The Limited Edition Easy Order is a physical button – delivered to you in a special mini pizza box – is connected to your Dominos app on a smartphone.
Amazon has a similar system in place that enables customers to order more groceries and everyday essentials using a single button for each product.
As the name suggests, the buttons will be available to the public in a limited amount, with a first phase of release at the end of November, and a second planned in February 2016.
As well as the physical buttons, Dominos has created a virtual version of the button on their website, so users can do a one-click order. When you sign up, you can create your favourite order to store behind the button.
The upgrade to the digital ordering system appears to make a lot of sense too, as Dominos reports that 75% of its orders now come in digitally, and half of them on mobile devices.
