A data breach has exposed the details of nearly 800,000 users of the porn website Brazzers.
Data breach-monitoring site Vigilante.pw say the leaked data includes 790,724 unique email addresses, as well as usernames and plaintext passwords. Although the data taken in the breach originated from separate site Brazzersforum, Motherboard reports it may include details from users who never even signed up to the forum.
Security researcher Troy Hunt said the data being released was potentially extra-embarrassing, because it could reveal private conversations people had on the forum about their sexual preferences.
“Problem with a hack like that is it’s a forum,” said Hunt. “Worse than just adult website creds, this is what people were talking and fantasising about.”
Brazzers spokesman Matt Stevens said the incident occurred due to the vulnerability of third-party software used on the user forum.
“That being said, users accounts were shared between Brazzers and the ‘Brazzersforum’ which was created for user convenience” he added
Whatever the reason for the breach it has left some rather exposed, and others outraged…
