Anyone who has played the Mafia franchise of games, or indeed even seen a mob movie, knows that things are rarely lovely, cheerful affairs.
And after it was teased last week, the first trailer for Mafia III, the gangster-based video game, has surfaced online.
Brings new meaning to “sleeping with the fishes” doesn’t it? The protagonist you saw is Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam War veteran back home after years of fighting. The game is set in 1968, and will be released next year. And that’s pretty much all we know for now.
It’s a nice little exclusive for PlayStation too, who despite having no presence at GamesCom this year have managed to grab a fair chunk of the publicity thanks to the reveal taking place on their YouTube channel.
