A Parka jacket billed as the ‘future of winter coats’ has raised nearly $3m through a Kickstarter campaign.
The next-gen coat has a built-in scarf and gloves, is made for two temperature ranges and even includes special pockets for your glasses.
With four styles for women and three for men, the Smart Parka – currently priced at $240 – is a hit with Kickstarter backers who have pledged a whopping $2,968,982 Canadian dollars (£1.6m).
Creators North Aware inc said the jacket aims to make going out in the winter “fun” rather than “intimidating”.
They added: “We found a real problem with winter coats. If the weather turns bad, and you don’t have your gloves or anything to cover your face, you are not protected.”
As well as the built-in gloves and scarf, and even a tracker if you lose it, the Smart Parka also has a built-in hat.
And even includes a pocket for your tablet or iPad.
With a removable lining, the coat is suitable for temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius (-13 degrees Fahrenheit).
The Kickstarter launched with just a $30,000 target but has far eclipsed that as it reaches the final hours of its campaign.
