Google has an amusing track record adding fun features to its apps for April Fool’s Day, and 2017 is no exception as the tech giant has dropped Ms Pac-Man right into Google Maps.
Your new version of Maps now comes with a dedicated Ms Pac-Man button in the bottom right hand corner, tapping which transforms the streets on screen into the maze for your game.
Tap the screen and a new game will start, with swipes on the screen used to navigate your way through the mini-game.
Functionality wise, it’s not the easiest to play – and navigating roundabouts with the swipe controls is far from straightforward.
However, players can move anywhere on the map before starting a game, so hover over the grid system of Manhattan and you get a much more playable version of the game.
For the added competitive edge, the game even keeps score so you can compare against your friends.
