Got a problem with Windows 10? Microsoft wants to know about it

If you’ve come across a problem in Windows 10 but felt powerless to do anything about it then worry no more.

Microsoft has developed a new app which makes it easier for people to complain about the operating system.

The Feedback Hub allows users to log a problem, adding in pictures and screenshots, to give the Windows 10 team the information needed to resolve the issue.

The idea behind the hub is that through collaboration, users can make the system better for themselves and everyone else using it. With Windows 10 running on 300 million active devices, it’s no small undertaking.

“Help us make Windows 10 better! Provide feedback about Windows and apps by sharing your suggestions or problems,” explains the app description.

With so many people able to contribute, the app will show trending topics so people would know if their bugbear had already been raised.

It will let people categorise problems too – be it about the start menu, load times, or something else.

Comments and feedback will be able to be upvoted if they are considered worthy and strike a chord with other users.

For people who are keen to know even more, the Windows Insider program allows users to keep up with the latest announcements, rate the different versions of Windows 10 and participate in feedback quests, earning badges in the process.

The Feedback Hub is available for free on the Windows store where it has already clocked up a 4.3 rating from 52 comments.

The vast majority of those early ratings – 36 out of 52 – have awarded it five stars.

One reviewer praised Microsoft for setting up the hub.

“I’ve used this app a ton as a Windows Insider, now happy to see a great feature become available to everyone.”

Time will tell how it fares and if it makes Windows 10 better for all.
