The rumours are reaching fever pitch, and now one third-party technology firm appears to have broken cover with regards to the next generation of iPhone.
Smartphone case manufacturer More has announced the release of a new range of ultra thin “bumper” covers – but the big news is these are said to be the “first ever collection for the new Apple handset”, which it names as the 6s and 6s Plus.
The firm’s product designer Theo Rotkins said: “We’re very excited by the next generation of iPhone technology and delighted with our Ultra Thin BumperLicious Case + Hard Back designs.
“Our iPhone 6s covers and iPhone 6s Plus cases are infused with all of our style and protective know-how, giving fantastic looks and unbeatable protection. They are the first of their kind and the first to market. No one knows when the iPhone 6s will be available to buy but we do know our cases will fit.”
It is coming to that time of year for the iPhone – September has traditionally been launch month for the device – and there is no sign that that will change this year. Though at the time of writing we are still waiting on Apple to announce the date for its next live event.
Supposedly “leaked” images of the device this year suggest it could make its debut in pink for the first time.
With Samsung having just announced the Galaxy S6 edge +, a device that has its crosshairs aimed squarely at the iPhone, and with a new HTC flagship rumoured to be coming in October, the Cupertino-based firm will be keen to stay ahead of the competition for another year as the smartphone market continues to saturate.
