The tech industry has been trying really hard to make wearables appeal to fashionistas.
We’ve seen smartwatches from Samsung with Swarovski crystal wristbands, Fitbit’s collaboration with designer Tory Burch to create jewellery fitness trackers, and of course, not to mention, Rebecca Minkoff’s tech bling (consisting of sleek phone USB chargers and notification bracelets) which she paraded on the New York Fashion Week runway last year.
But these beaded necklaces that are actually headphones in disguise may be the most ingenious piece of wearable bling we’ve seen so far.
Designed by German company Jaxmotech, it’s safe to say that The One Fashion Headphones look nothing like headphones, thanks to its beaded design and a discreet magnet clasp that makes it look more like costume jewellery than a tech gizmo.
The headphones promise high-quality sound, and come with a microphone for hands-free calling as well as a multi-functional control button to take calls from your smartphone. You can also play/pause/skip tracks and change the volume when listening to music.
The headphones come in seven different colours, with the rose gold selling for £65 but if you prefer something more neon bright, the green and pink ones cost £30.
The starting price for the necklace is £30 and is available to buy exclusively from Cuckooland.
Bye bye unsightly wires.
