Chinese firm Honor has revealed their new Honor 8 smartphone, and are targeting millennials with a low price and very good camera.
The Honor 8 comes with dual rear-facing cameras as well as an eight-megapixel selfie camera. The phone also features a special beauty and food mode for your best social media posts. So that’s Snapchat and Instagram seemingly covered.
It looks like a high-end phone too, but crucially Honor has priced it at £370, well below the cost of most flagship devices from the big-name brands, with the hope of appealing to younger consumers.
In case you’re not familiar, Honor is a subsidiary of Huawei, the Chinese smartphone maker that is now only behind Apple and Samsung in global sales.
Where the Honor will face competition however is in the form of the OnePlus 3 – another Chinese-made phone in a similar price range – and one that has already been establishing itself in the UK.
The phone has already been unveiled in the US, but is now making the move to Europe and will be available from today.
The Honor 8 will also come with a 5.2-inch full HD display and fast-charging capabilities via the USB-C connection it houses. The phone also has expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card.
