It’s one of the biggest companies in the world, with user and customer numbers running into the billions.
So unsurprisingly a lot of people would love to work for Facebook, something that’s a lot easier said than done given the number of applications the company probably receives.
Now the social network’s head of recruiting has revealed Facebook has a favourite interview question that it puts to candidates to see if they fit the Facebook philosophy.
“On your very best day at work – the day you come home and think you have the best job in the world – what did you do that day?”
Gets you thinking, doesn’t it.
The question, said Facebook’s Miranda Kalinowski is her favourite when speaking to hopeful interviewees, telling Business Insider that it helps her to find the candidates that match Facebook’s mission to “give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected”.
Another tip offered was to consider what you do when you lose track of time at work – Facebook’s way of finding out what a candidate enjoys doing and as a result is probably quite good at.
Some more aspects of the company’s interview process were also revealed, including that it involves several rounds of phone interviews and a tour of the firm’s Menlo Park campus in California – with the aim being to give candidates an accurate idea of what their job would look like.
Pretty awesome we suspect.
