The latest iOS software update has arrived, and it’s cause for excitement among emoji lovers as it contains more than 70 new characters to start using.
Emoji superfans will probably already be familiar with many of those going live in the iOS 11.1 update – Apple confirmed what some of them would look like earlier this month.
Among the new arrivals is a host of new animals, including a giraffe and a zebra, as well as a new Chinese takeaway box and broccoli emoji.
A range of “mystical” emoji are also part of the update, including merpeople and a wizard.
Elsewhere in the update, Apple also included a patch for the Krack Wi-Fi vulnerability which was highlighted by security researchers earlier this month.
Apple had previously said a fix would be rolled out.

The 3D Touch option to open the app switcher view has also been restored having been previously removed from the original iOS 11 release.
The feature enables users to see the roll call of apps currently open and jump between them by pressing down on the left side of the screen.
