It’s not been an easy few weeks for Samsung following the recall and then dropping of the Note7 in the wake of safety concerns over the device exploding.
While Samsung’s rivals have yet to make any sort of comment on the unfortunate situation that has befallen their competitor, one smartphone case manufacturer is not holding back – having created a skin for the iPhone that gives it the look of a compromised Note7.
It’s even called the Explo-sung.
The product description suggests it would make a perfect Halloween dress-up for your iPhone, calling it their “hottest skin yet”.
It’s available for iPhone handsets going back to the iPhone 5, with a price tag of $24.99.
The company selling it, UniqFind, doesn’t appear afraid to create outlandish designs for cases – its website also features designs for iPhone and MacBook that give them the impression of being badly smashed.
However, Samsung’s sense of humour when it comes to the Note7 issue is, perhaps unsurprisingly, lacking. The tech giant has already begun issuing takedown notices for some videos of a mod created for Grand Theft Auto V for PC that use the Note7 as a bomb.
