Sony is due to hold a PlayStation event on September 7 where we will finally see the PlayStation Neo, but it appears we might be getting something else too.
Rumours of a slimmer PS4 have been bubbling up recently, and now appear to have been proven right on the money thanks to one Twitter user and some time on Gumtree.
@shortman82 claimed to have spotted the console on the Gumtree, the classified ads site.
He bought it, and then followed up with more photos to seemingly prove it’s the real thing, placing it next to his own white, full-sized PS4.
Sony is yet to make any comment on the apparent existence of the console, though Digital Foundry/Eurogamer have sent someone along to photograph it for themselves.
There is also no word as yet on what, if any, spec changes the Slim might have compared to the full size console of the Neo. Though the Neo is expected to be a more powerful and 4K supporting PlayStation.
Xbox has already launched something similar, releasing the Xbox One S earlier in August. The console combines the two things PlayStation is looking at here, offering 4K playback and slimming down on the size of the device. Though the Xbox had more to shave off in the first place.
