He’s probably pretty busy putting the finishing touches to the first of his three new Star Wars movies – not to mention filming the second one – but JJ Abrams has already started on his next big project.

The director and his Bad Robot production company are getting into games, and he’s not alone. Abrams has announced an upcoming PC and mobile game called Spyjinx that is the result of a collaboration between himself and mobile gaming giant ChAIR.

Just in case you don’t know, ChAIR are the studio behind turn-based battle series Infinity Blade, a series that has regularly raised the bar for visuals on mobile devices.

Nothing in terms of images or content from the game has been shared yet, but what we do know is that Spyjinx is set to be a combination of action, strategy, and world building RPG – according to ChAIR’s Donald Mustard. Here he is with Abrams discussing the project.

As mentioned in the video, a public beta of the game will be taking place in early 2016, and anyone wishing to try it out can do so by signing up at Spyjinx.com.

We can only assume there’ll be lots of lens flare.
