If a world filled with WhatsApp, WeChat, Snapchat and more isn’t enough, Sony has now given PlayStation 4 users a way of more fluidly communicating with one another.
PlayStation Messages is available on both iOS and Android, and gives users the chance to interact with their PlayStation Network friends without having to deal with the often clunky experience of typing messages via the console using their controller and an on-screen keyboard.
The app itself keeps things very simple – it’s a straight up messaging app much like the ones you’re already used to, and it has stickers too, just like Facebook Messenger.
The app also tells you who’s online and what they’re playing, and group messages can contain up to 100 users.
The app is free to download, and if you’re already got the PlayStation companion app on your phone the app will grab your details from there.
