Now Microsoft has been having a think about what watching sport – and the NFL in particular – might look like in the future. The result is quite something.
Driven by their augmented reality headset HoloLens, which overlays holograms you can interact with on to the real world, Microsoft’s suggestion is the future will be pretty awesome when it comes to watching and dissecting sport.
Fans tend to love the details, so 3D replays on coffee tables, real-time pop-up stats, and various other animations sound like a very cool idea.
Though watch out when celebrating that touchdown – HoloLens is likely to be pretty expensive when it comes out.
