Microsoft might have scaled back their phone business in the last year as they focus on PCs and Windows 10, but their mobile app developers clearly still feel the creativity flowing – they’ve just launched a new iPhone app.
And yes you did read that right – Microsoft has made an app just for iPhone.
It’s called Microsoft Pix and is designed to help users take better pictures by automatically adjusting camera settings before you take a photo, then instantly selecting the best from a burst it takes before enhancing them for the best results.
It’s impressive looking stuff, and that certainly feels even more the case when you note that all this is being done by artificial intelligence built into the app.
They call it Always On Intelligence at Microsoft and it essentially means the moment you open the app it is active and analysing the scene.
The final piece of good news is that Pix is free to download, but sorry Android users, there is no sign of a version for you just yet.
