Pokemon Go has taken over the consciousness and free time of millions of app users since its launch – and now Twitter has offered an insight into just how big the game has become.

According to the social media site’s figures, there have been more than 80 million mentions of the game in the UK since launch.

Not only that, Twitter has revealed which of the characters have had the most mentions as users seek to #CatchEmAll. Though there’s no prizes for guessing who’s at number one.

The game has become a phenomenon for users from all walks of life around and world, creating surreal situations and reactions.

Those five tweets alone have racked up around a quarter of a million retweets. Many no doubt having been through the same feelings as Nick Jonas suggests Demi Lovato has been having.
