Call of Duty has risen to become one of the biggest and most lucrative video game series around – and its largely thanks to the Modern Warfare instalment from 2007.
The game marked the first time the series moved away from conflicts of the past and, as the name suggests, into the modern world. It was a huge success and fired the franchise onto a new level of popularity.
That game is now nine years old – but this year, it is due to make a comeback having been “remastered” for the current generation of consoles. The results will have you giddy all over again.
While “Crew Expendable” is a very good level, this is a game full of them – so the opportunity to go see this world again in a sharper, much more detailed light is likely to be very appealing to many.
If you’re extremely keen to play it, pre-ordering the digital or deluxe edition of Infinite Warfare, this year’s new Call of Duty will get you it a month earlier than the rest of us.
