It was the biggest game of the season so far for both teams – with the winner going on to Super Bowl 50 in two weeks’ time.
But after a bad start on the field for the New England Patriots against the Denver Broncos, things also got a little worse off it as the Microsoft Surface tablets the team uses for tactics and play reviews stopped working.
Microsoft is an official NFL partner and supplies every team in the league with hardware which they use during games.
To make matters worse on this occasion, because the fault was connectivity-related and not power-based, the Broncos were able to keep using theirs. In the past, when power-based issues have occurred both sides have been forced to stop using them as per the regulations.
However, given the list of accusations that has been thrown at the Patriots in the last few years not everyone might be sympathetic to their tech issues.
Mind you, looking at how *some* NFL players have treated the tablets in the past, it isn’t that surprising that they’ve had problems.
Connection was eventually restored, but it din’t help the Patriots’ cause as they lost out 20-18.
