So you’ve worked out when to set your morning alarm to allow for just about any domestic disasters that might get in the way before you leave the house.
But what about the unexpected hold-ups once you’re on the road?
Now, of course, there is an app for that.
The iOS-only Snorelax alarm, by developer Nordin Ouameur, not only does the work of your standard SatNav by calculating the traffic problems happening on your usual route, but it then automatically wakes you earlier if you are likely to be delayed.
For £1.49, the app is probably the most cost-effective transport PA you’re likely to find, as it tells you of traffic accidents and new road works, as well as historical traffic information to help calculate how long your journey is likely to take that day.
Just key in your usual morning route and let Snorelax do the rest. But disciplining yourself against hitting the snooze button is, sadly, still up to you.
