Nokia has continued its comeback with the launch of new health monitoring products, including smart scales, a blood pressure monitor and a smartwatch.
The launch sees a range of products that were part of the Withings brand – which Nokia bought earlier this year – transition to the Finnish brand.
The firm’s Health Mate app has also been redesigned to “sit at the centre” of the company’s digital health products and experience, Nokia said.
The Health Mate app has been given “enhanced navigation” for users to more easily access health data and set goals. The app has also added new health programs based on specific wellbeing needs.
New programmes to help improve sleep and maintain health during pregnancy are among those that have been added to the app, which is free to download on iOS and Android.
The line of smartwatches formally carrying the Withings branding have now made the switch to Nokia. The Steel range of analogue-looking watches feature a second, smaller watch face, which is used to track percentage progress towards a daily step goal.
Despite its appearance, the watches also link to a smartphone app and can be used to control watch hands.
Also among the collection of products is the Nokia Body smart scales – WiFi connected and able to recognise up to eight users, independently syncing with each and able to offer personalised coaching.
The new BPM+ blood pressure monitor, which will cost £115, will enable users to measure vital stats from home.
The announcement follows the Finnish firm’s launch of the revamped 3310 last month to much fanfare, as the basic mobile took its place alongside today’s high-tech smartphones minus any internet browser connectivity.
