The PlayStation 4 has finally got cheaper - but it still might be worth waiting

If you’ve been waiting for a suitable time to buy a next-gen console, it might be now. Sony have just announced they’re reducing the price of their PlayStation 4 to £299.99 – £50 cheaper than it was.

Yes, this does also count for bundle deals – and while the 500GB version has been reduced to just under £300, the 1TB version isn’t selling for too much more than that in certain stores either.

But it could be unwise to get too excited about the new price, given that soon THAT day will once again be upon us – yes, we are talking about Black Friday. On November 27 Game, Amazon, Tesco, Argos and pretty much everyone else will be slashing their prices again, and often for a whole week in the lead-up.

Last year on Black Friday prices were reduced to what Sony have just announced today, so if you can manage to hold out a month longer, your wallet could thank you. And another bonus is that by then, Star Wars: Battlefront, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and many other much anticipated games will be out.

It’s worth the wait.
