Red Bull Racing’s Formula One drivers Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo have swapped their F1 cars for caravans for a new type of head-to-head.
The pair took to the circuit at Spielberg in Austria in Aston Martins towing caravans for a race to promote the Austrian Grand Prix.
In the hands of the Formula One duo, the caravans didn’t last long being towed around the high-speed track, which is due to host F1 later this summer.
The race takes place at aptly named Red Bull Ring in July.
The energy drink and now sporting giant has expanded into other forms of racing in the past, including the homemade buggy Soapbox Race and the stunt-plane based Air Race.
The jury is still out on whether caravan racing is the next big spectator sport.
