Well, Doctor Eggman has really had it now. Not only will he have to contend with Sonic, Knuckles, Tails and Amy Rose – but he’ll have to do it while they’re receiving motivation from Shia LaBeouf. And everyone knows that’s the hardest kind of motivation to defend against.
In what’s just the latest of the memes following LaBeouf’s erm, strange, motivational speech, Sega have added the actor to a clip from Sonic Generations. On their official Sonic the Hedgehog channel.
“We’ve just released a new (fictional) DLC for Sonic Generations that adds actual cannibal Shia LaBeouf into one of the game’s final cutscenes.” Sega say on YouTube. Delightful.
Sonic hasn’t been so appealing in years.
Sega CEO Hajime Satomi recently stated he’s on a mission to win back the trust of Sega players, and while we’re still waiting for a title of proper quality to come along, this video of Shia LaBeouf can act as a stocking filler.
While we wait for that title – something is expected to be announced at the Tokyo Game Show in September – we can revisit this other actor/gaming mashup featuring Arrested Development’s Tobias Funke and Capcom.
Now that I think about it, Shia Labeouf's speech sounded like some corny lines Sonic would say. No wonder that video from sega was perfect
